About
I am a graphic & motion designer, brand identity nerd, and typography aficionado. I am currently employed at Grand Jeté, a design studio based in LA.
I am a Korean-American graphic designer, living with my beautiful wife in Mission Hills, CA. I unabashedly obsess over brand identity, swoon over editorial design, and sway to the rhythms of motion graphics. Nothing cooks my noodles more than neatly-spaced typography, soulfully-danced confidence, and deeply-fried chicken.
My interest in design began in high school when my friend began making and selling t-shirts. I asked him to teach me the Adobe programs, and soon I was working with him to brand a t-shirt company. My zeal for design only grew as I attended college where I began taking design classes to further my craft.
It wasn't until months away from graduation that my freelance projects, design club activities, just-for-the-heck-of-it art pieces bloomed into a conviction to pursue graphic design professionally.
Since then, I have worked full time as an in-house designer for Nourmand & Associates Realtors until the summer of 2021, and now, working at Grand Jeté, a design studio in Hollywood. Through these experiences, I have developed a hyperactive eye for composition and a duct tape skin for criticism.
With gratitude for the experiences and reverence for the forthcoming, I am ready for the challenges and adventures ahead of me.
